This Papaya Avocado Salsa Recipe was given to me by a great friend, who would serve this with tortilla chips as an appetizer. I think it would also be incredible served as a side dish with barbeque meats and fish. I recently took it to a dinner party and it was an overwhelming hit with all. Delicious, simple, fresh and nutritious… it doesn’t get any better than that.
1 Papaya – seeds removed and cut into small pieces
½ red onion – chopped finely
3 roma tomatoes – seeds removed and chopped finely
1 avocado – chopped into small pieces
½ cup cilantro – chopped
1 lemon – juice only
combine all the ingredients and serve.
Papaya contains a fantastic enzyme that aids digestion, is high in anti-oxidants and will give your immunity a boost through the high vitamin C content.
Red onion protects the circulatory system and is a powerful antibiotic.
