A little YOU time

Is there never enough time in your day? Do you find it hard to find time for just yourself? Many people begin and end their day feeling overwhelmed. Why? They are often putting everything else before themselves. Not fun. In fact, it’s a recipe for disaster. Think about a time when you have been really stressed out. Your mind is racing; you are multitasking, planning dinner and working away on project while taking a call. Sound stressful? In that state of mind you can lose perspective and make careless mistakes and miss out on all the great opportunities around you. You might also ignore life’s little messages and end up creating more of a problem for yourself.
It’s time to start taking care of your best asset: You! Learn to put yourself first and spend a bit of time just sitting or thinking. Make some time daily for creativity and insights to flourish. Life was meant to be a fun and playful journey but it can’t be when our mind is on everything and everyone else.
What is your wisdom and intuition saying to you? What subtle messages are coming through? You won’t know unless you stop and check in, so spend some time to uncover it. Create a daily practice to check in regularly. How would that look? I love to lie down on my couch and turn on relaxing music… I feel so revived and reconnected afterwards. Maybe you prefer journaling, walking, singing or dancing… Whatever it is you love to do to reconnect-just try it! Then see what happens.
Are you up for the challenge? How would spending more time with yourself change your state of mind? (or) How would life be different if you spent more time reconnecting with yourself? Reconnect with yourself for one month for only 10-15 minutes a day and write down your comments below. Keep us posted along the way!
